The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAMAs Senior Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer, you will be involved in exciting technical challenges by analyzing, troubleshooting, and designing vital infrastructure components, platforms, and infrastructure while always thinking about reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance.In the SITA FOR AIRCRAFT - Customer Service & Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of production mission-critical customer-facing cloud services across multiple regions, as well as providing 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis. You will contribute to the creation of a more consistent, automated infrastructure, monitor and respond to system notifications and alerts, and continuously optimize, secure, and improve our systems' performance, security, and dependability.WHAT YOU'LL DOImplement an enterprise-wide Platform Operations Engineering culture by disseminating your best practices, approaches, enhancements, and documentation.Troubleshoot complex, cross-platform issues involving Servers and OS, Virtualization, and Containers in a cloud-based SaaS environment such MS Azure, manage live production incidents, debug/troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and implement Platform Operations Engineering best practices.Administer and maintain existing Azure cloud infrastructure, as well as create new infrastructure in accordance with SLAs.Manage routine system tasks such as updates, backups, availability checks, and performance monitoring.Work closely with the DevOps Team and various departments to ensure the system is responding properly to non-functional requirements such as performance, security, backups, and High availability of the infrastructure.Apply automation and software to any tasks or parts of the system that would benefit from it or are performed manually.Enhance the current Azure cloud environments.Collaborate with various business departments and suppliers to ensure alignment with ISO 27001 processes and compliance with all necessary regulations.Document your system knowledge as you acquire it over time, create runbooks, and ensure critical system information is readily available to those who need it.Ensure Infrastructure maintains its high standard of security by regularly carrying out mitigation and preventive maintenance tasks.Participate in the analysis and management of the performance of infrastructure and Cloud services.ABOUT YOUR SKILLSMinimum 4+ years' hands-on experience with MS Azure.Strong experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network, and Security.Demonstrable experience with Python, Azure Cloud Platform, Linux, and Windows.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible).Extensive experience of supporting/managing hypervisor-based products/infrastructure (VMware).In-depth knowledge on best practices and recommendations with hands-on experience of the operation and deployment of Microsoft Azure Resources.Basic programming and scripting skills (preferably Golang, bash, shell, etc.).Overview and Understanding of Network routing, Load balancing and Networking protocols, a base knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.SRE & Agile methodologies with B. Tech./B.E. degree in Electronics & Telecomm or Computer Science.NICE-TO-HAVEDemonstrated understanding of ITIL methodologies, ITIL v3 or v4 certification.WHAT WE OFFERWe're all about diversity.
