About the Role:
We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer that will design, develop and maintain database architecture and code initiatives supporting internal and third-party software solutions, delivering excellent products in scope and on time, and meeting current and long-term business needs for the business area. Participate in an agile team of motivated, driven, high-energy engineers, building trust and confidence with team members and business stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and coach junior data engineers to build stronger and faster teams.
Your Responsibilities:
As an experienced and solution-oriented Lead Data Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Working with our product teams to provide timely, effective and performant solutions;Contributing to the design of scalable data solutions, including the development of automated pipelines;Implementing and/or maintaining database systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our application suite;Understanding and defining business data requirements and identifying data needs and data sources to create scalable data architecture and support enhancements, new product and implementation;Coaching, mentoring, and training team members driving both employee and team development and growth.Your Expertise:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years of database developer/engineering experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL preferred)
Ability to create and understand data models
Ability to create and maintain stored procedures, views, functions
Ability to write advanced SQL code; queries and statements to explore source data and data issues
Working knowledge of cloud data technologies and architecture
Working knowledge of Python, PowerShell or Power BI
Working knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines for code deployment
Experience with execution plan analysis and performance tuning
Must speak and write in English fluently; Effective communicator
