Position: Logistic Assistant Manager, Strategic Logistics Location: Madrid You will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Logistics.
The Logistic Assistant Manager, Strategic Logistics will be responsible to work in close collaboration with the Logistics Operations, Sales, and planning team to support and execute strategic sourcing for all modes of transport.
What a typical day looks like: Lead cost and capacity negotiations for all logistics-related services including Ocean, Air freight, Land transport, Warehousing, Transloading, etc; Support logistics analytics for the business including costs, quality, capacity, etc.
; Support in identifying, analyzing, and qualifying carriers and new service providers to optimize cost & velocity; Sending Requests for Proposals (RFP) and prioritizing sourcing efforts to meet the business requirement; Collaborate with logistics operations teams on various projects; Responsible for carrier relationships, support quarterly business reviews, and ensuring active measurement of performance for all service providers; Prepare and analyze monthly reports; Quick to support all sourcing requests coming from logistics operations; Execute RFQs for regional and global projects; Data analytics and interpretation.
The experience we're looking to add to the team: Experience in logistics sourcing in all modes of transportation; Strong knowledge of multi-modal logistics pricing structure (ocean, rail, truck, air, and customs brokerage); Must be a skilled negotiator, highly analytical, creative, and an effective communicator; High degree of autonomy and accountability for results; Fluent in English and Spanish; Experience in manufacturing logistics - will be an advantage; Detail-oriented and critical thinking; Great communication skills.
