Role: Intermediate Developer Location: Munich, Germany (hybrid) 1. Project Context Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) is transitioning to Polarion, a new requirements management tool designed to support the tendering, procurement, and management of requirements for rail vehicles, parts, and infrastructure. Polarion will replace the existing IBM DOORS Rational tool, serving as a comprehensive solution throughout the entire procurement lifecycle, from the development of requirements and performance descriptions to the evaluation of offers and post-procurement warranty management. This project requires the services of an Intermediate Developer to facilitate data migration from DOORS to Polarion and to support the overall implementation process. 2. Services Required The contractor will be responsible for providing the following services:
- Data Analysis and Migration: - Analyze existing data in the IBM DOORS Rational tool. - Analyze the target data structure in the Polarion requirements management tool. - Create tools to facilitate the migration of data from DOORS to Polarion. - Implement three data migrations and document the process. - Estimate the effort required to completely migrate all data from DOORS to Polarion.
- Testing and Collaboration: - Collaborate with technical testers to ensure the quality of the created tools. - Test and document the tools developed for the data migration process. 3. Mandatory Criteria The bidder must meet the following mandatory technical requirements:
- Experience in Requirements Management: - At least 3 years of practical experience in consulting on DOORS projects, evidenced by reference projects or employment references. - At least 3 years of practical experience in consulting on Polarion projects. - Proof of at least one recognized certification in requirements management.
- Data Migration Experience: - Successful support of data migration projects involving the transition from DOORS to Polarion.
- Experience with Deutsche Bahn Projects: - Proven experience in IT projects at DB AG. 4. Target Criteria The following target requirements will be considered in the technical and specialist evaluation:
- References and Certifications: - Number and type of certificates related to requirements management presented (1 point per certificate). - Number and quality of references confirming successful involvement in requirements management projects.
- Project Involvement: - Number and description of relevant projects, including the role of the consultant and the results achieved.
