Position Overview: The Head of Options Risk will monitor, analyze, and report on credit and liquidity risk arising from FX option structures entered by our SME clients globally. They will report to the Head of Treasury and the Chief Financial Risk Officer, who oversee the twin credit and liquidity risks. The role requires proactive contributions to option-related risk systems, processes design, and product development.
Responsibilities: Oversee the FX options risk management program.
Develop, implement, and maintain risk management tools for FX options.
Monitor and report the company's foreign exchange exposure.
Ensure the effectiveness of the company's FX options risk management strategies.
Work closely with credit risk, trading, sales, and quantitative teams to understand and mitigate risks.
Conduct scenario analyses and stress testing on FX options portfolio.
Develop risk models and systems for ongoing monitoring and management of risks.
Provide risk management guidance to senior management and the board of directors.
Required Skills and Qualifications: 5-10 years experience in financial roles, ideally market-facing.
Knowledge of and experience in options and structured products; FX markets preferred but not essential.
Risk management background preferred but not essential; product developers will also be considered.
Understanding of corporate credit is a big plus but not an absolute requirement.
Flexible location: London, Madrid, or Malaga.
