Also, you will schedule and execute critical tasks, providing technical support in critical incidents, and organize relevant training sessions for internal platform users.We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:Support the delivery of Santander UK's (plus entities) Disaster Recovery planning, including the solution design and delivery and testing.Maintain robust communication with all key stakeholders including Santander's Platforms & Digital Delivery teams, PMO, CIOs, Enterprise Architecture, 3rd party vendors, and the Bank.Coordinate quarterly review/update of IT Disaster Recovery documentation such as exercise task lists, workplace recovery plans.Interacting and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain protection services and products.Work with Disaster Recovery software used for document rendering and validate that all critical recovery information is current and maintained in supported DR tools.Facilitate/coordinate quarterly reviews, updates, and signoffs to ensure completion of critical recovery documentation of infrastructure consistent with approved corporate policies, standards, and procedures.Additional support functions as assigned.Provide support for creation and update of application recovery guides.Perform implementation tasks for recovery environments.Execute testing.Perform system and network design tasks for recovery environments.EXPERIENCEAt least 3 years of experience as a Disaster Recovery Analyst.EDUCATIONUniversity degree in technology, preferably in computer science.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGETechnical SkillsStrong technical background in Intel hardware.Strong technical background in Virtualization Platforms.Strong technical background in Database Infrastructure.Strong technical background in data centre infrastructure and configuration.Open systems expertise.Strong understanding of High Availability Techniques.Understanding of capacity and performance considerations.Strong understanding of Storage Areas Networks and Backend Storage.Strong understanding of Networks, Firewalls, and Internet Security.Strong understanding of cloud-based technology including voice delivery and storage.Proficient in use of Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and Project is necessary as is the ability to create tables, presentations, and reports using these tools.TechnologiesVMware.Windows Server.Unix (RHEL, Solaris, AIX & various clustering technologies such as TSA, HACMP, GPFS).Database technologies (Oracle, SQL, DB2 & UDB).Storage technologies (SVL, NetApp & Centerra).Networks.Cloud.OTHER INFORMATIONOccasional trips to the UK.English at least C1.If you want to know more about us, visit our website here.
