.Director Transportation EMEA ABOUT COTY Coty is seeking an exceptional individual to join the EMEA Logistics team.
In this role, the person will directly lead the customer Go to market transport operations within the EMEA region.
This is a very operational role and requires in-depth day-to-day handling of internal and external partners.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The role will work closely with the DC's and Haulers to support extraordinary service (OTIF) as well as driving further productivity activities.
The role will support the NL-based global logistics leadership team in executing strategic and operational plans and provide expertise in transportation, interface with Coty Customer service, DC Operations and Customs teams, including communication with authorities in various countries.
Responsibility to identify and manage projects that deliver added value to the business in terms of financial, service, safety, and sustainability.
Track and trace the activated initiative, implement a controlling mechanism, and create visibility of status, gaps, and results to the logistics leadership team.
The individual who fills this role will be expected to contribute to the EMEA Logistics leadership and develop relationships with the teams on all aspects of the business activities.
Build a network across the regions to synchronize activities and implement a learn and share behavior.
Key relationships will also be with the divisional supply chain leads and the planning community, the Global transport and Customs team (GTC), as well as Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Coty IT.
THE ROLE In this role you will be responsible for: Operations: Lead the operational transportation team for EMEA road transportation in Continental Europe, United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Middle East, flows to customers plus and Customization centers.
Manage core transportation metrics in service, cost, and key foundational systems such as quality, safety, security, and sustainability.
Strong focus on service, cost, and sustainability with a total end-to-end approach to optimize performance for the company, monitor and drive improvement of transportation KPIs (i.E., Pick up on time, On Time Delivery, Tender Acceptance Compliance, Cost, etc.)
within the strategic and governance framework set by central Amsterdam regional logistics.
Manage the relationship with the Global Transport and 4PL to ensure proper execution of the domestic control tower performance for EMEA road freight.
Maintain high levels of service and manage customer's expectations whilst operating within budgetary conditions.
Partner with the Coty vendor compliance and procurement teams to ensure transportation governance structures including Coty transport vendor security SOPs in accordance with Coty's Code of Conduct policy.
Serve as escalation for resolution of domestic and Customer transportation
