ROLE AND DEPARTMENT
Coty is seeking an exceptional individual to join the EMEA Logistics team. In this role, the person will directly lead the customer Go to market transport operations within the EMEA region.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The role will work closely with the DC's and Haulers to support extraordinary service (OTIF) as well as driving further productivity activities. The role will support the NL-based global logistics leadership team in executing strategic and operational plans and provide expertise in transportation, interface with Coty Customer service, DC Operations and Customs teams, including communication with authorities in various countries. Responsibility to identify and manage projects that deliver added value to the business in terms of financial, service, safety, and sustainability. Track and trace the activated initiative, implement a controlling mechanism as well create the visibility of status, gaps, and results to the logistics leadership team.

The individual who fills this role will be expected to contribute to the EMEA Logistics leadership and develop relationships with the teams on all aspects of the business activities.

THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for:

Operations
- Lead the operational transportation team for EMEA road transportation in Continental Europe, United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Middle East, flows to customers plus and Customization centers.
- Manage core transportation metrics in service, cost, and key foundational systems such as quality, safety, security, and sustainability.
- Strong focus on service, cost, and sustainability with a total end to end approach to optimize performance for the company, monitor and drive improvement of transportation KPIs (i.e., Pick up on time, On Time Delivery, Tender Acceptance Compliance, Cost, etc.) within the strategic and governance framework set by central Amsterdam regional logistics.
- Manage the relationship with the Global Transport and 4PL to ensure proper execution of the domestic control tower performance for EMEA road freight.
- Maintain high levels of service and manage customer's expectations whilst operating within budgetary conditions.
- Partner with the Coty vendor compliance and procurement teams to ensure transportation governance structures including Coty transport vendor security SOPs in accordance with Coty's Code of Conduct policy.
- Serve as escalation for resolution of domestic and Customer transportation.Functional
- Support the operational teams across EMEA supporting best practices and leverage consistency across the region.
- Work with the CoE to develop productivity programs and leverage the network capabilities.
- Work very closely with all DC's, Global transport and decentralized transportation teams.
- Build a network across all DC and transportation function to leverage the knowledge and bundle the activities.Cost Control
- Partner with finance team on monthly budget review process and annual budget establishment.
- Identify cost savings projects and make recommendations develop, execute plans once a Go no Go decision is made by the central logistics team in Amsterdam.
- Identify opportunities and implement tracking of key cost drivers such as cost per mile, cost per weight, accessorial %, and fuel %.
- Implement and maintain transportation cost to serve program.
- Monitor, track and report on the status of projects including the tracking of the committed results i.e. savings, service improvements, etc.
- Partner with freight audit and payment provider to drive improvements in payment process as needed.People Development
- Support the integration program for new starters. Ensure all new starters are fully supported to enable a smooth integration into the Coty culture.
- Lead, coach, support, and develop the regional Coty transportation and customs team the direct team and wider Logistics community ensuring motivational leadership.
- Create a vision for transport team and establish goals and objectives for the team.
- Build collaborative relationships with cross functional teams such as DC/3PL's, customer service, global transportation, manufacturing, and commercial teams.Strategic Projects and Capability
- Identify opportunities for improvements in supply spending that creates value in terms of financial, service, safety and sustainability to Coty.
- Give direction and management of projects across the function.
- Monitor, track and report on the status of projects including the tracking of the committed results i.e. savings, service improvements etc.
- Engage with procurement on the carrier network bids including supporting activities such as negotiation, financial analysis and recommendations to the central logistics Amsterdam team for the awarding process.
- Lead rollout for Customer transport lanes of the new TMS system through the 4PL control tower and implementation of new functionality such as mode optimization, lane consolidation, and multi stop.
- Implement supplier relationship programs with key transport haulers including monthly KPI reviews and QBRs in conjunction and as input into the central internal weekly and monthly regional KPI reviews.
- Support large strategic initiatives including e-comm/DTC and supply network design changes.
- Lead Coty transportation roadmap for sustainability and bring vision to life with carrier network.
- Identify ongoing continuous process improvement ideas in areas such as freight payment process, transportation planning, sustainability, and vehicle fill rate.
- Partner with the global transportation team/COE to establish transportation and best practices.Communications
- Ensure the regional leadership team and central PMO and COE committees and the wider supply and operations teams are included in key decisions and development in projects, industry updates, supplier updates and best practices.
- Ensure timely visibility of customer shipments within, into and out of the region and communicate with the business units confirm service, deliveries with proactive action plans.
- Partner with the business unit customer services and planning teams to ensure efficient product flows.
- Utilize the network of stakeholders to apply best practices.Code of Ethics

- Acts the first point of escalation for Data Privacy risks and issues, and is the key point of contact between employees and the Coty Data Privacy team.
- Facilitates Data Privacy initiatives, including but not limited to coordination of training and Privacy Champion communities.
- Ensures employees have completed mandatory Data Privacy Compliance training.
- Conducts all activities in accordance with the Coty Code of Conduct and Coty Global Policies and Procedures.
- Takes due care to protect employee and customer Personal Data in line with the Coty Data Privacy Global Policy and Procedure and Information Security Policies and Procedures.
- Develops a culture of Data Privacy awareness throughout the country/function/division or team. THE OPPORTUNITY
Coty is focused on developing its supply chain and maximizing the value that it provides to the Group. Managing a critical category of spend that has operational service, safety, sustainability as well as financial aspects to it.

YOUR NETWORK
You will work very closely with senior leadership at the DC's and in the market supply chain team as well as the corporate logistics, procurement, planning, engineering, quality, and HR functions. Equally you will need to build strong relationships with all the individuals in the DCs to support them effectively. You will also be encouraged to network outside Coty.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
We'd love to see candidates who have:

Essential
- Self-motivated leader and team player with +10 years of operational and project leadership in transportation, logistics, supply chain experience.
- Influential leadership skill to motivate non-direct reports.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to deal with senior leadership to convince and influence effectively, overcoming barriers.
- Operational experience within third party logistics providers or of managing them.
- Ability to coach and develop individuals in difficult situations and develop competencies.
- Achievement of innovative results and proven track record of significant cost savings.
- Experience of implementing new systems (e.g., WMS, LMS, TMS or Customs systems) and processes (control tower) in a transversal environment.
- Experience of implementing improvement programs in a logistics or industrial environment.
- Proficient financial analysis skills.
- Experience in working across multiple countries and cultures.
- English language essential; a second European language such as Dutch, French, Spanish or German will be an advantage.
- Subsequent promotion outside of Amsterdam will require relocation/travel so geographical mobility is required for this role.
