LOCATION
Our headquarters for our European operations is in Madrid, Spain. The position can be located in any major European market.
WHO YOU ARE
You are an experienced sales leader with a proven record of success driving a sales team to win big deals while enabling and expanding a vibrant partner community. You are a results-driven, data-enabled, customer-centric leader who practices servant and situational leadership and is excited by innovative technology initiatives. As a leader who is a player-coach, you are passionate about developing people, understanding the customer, achieving SMART goals, and driving revenue. You understand and have used a sales process such as Miller Heiman, Sandler, or SPIN and appreciate the differences between a sales forecast and sales pipeline reviews and can speak appropriately to both.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will lead the EMEA sales team to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through the EMEA regional sales and business development teams, which are responsible for driving sales through our major ISV and reseller channels, enterprise sales, key account management, and partner enablement. You are dedicated to driving growth through partners, leading and winning enterprise deals with and on behalf of partners, while expanding the partner ecosystem. The EMEA sales director will work closely with the global inside sales and renewals teams and the marketing, professional service, sales engineering, and technical support teams. As needed, you will represent the Company with global printer manufacturers and other strategic parties and collaborate with BarTender business development, product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams on global strategic initiatives.
You will:
- Lead the EMEA regional sales team to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
- Through the EMEA sales team, lead, manage, and hold accountable channel partners to meet and exceed their sales goals, including participating in the sales process for significant and important deals.
- Maintain a disciplined monthly and quarterly deal, pipeline, and sales forecast review process and present accurate and timely reporting of results to management.
- Develop and execute the EMEA sales business and action plan that guides activities, drives new customer acquisition, expands existing customers, enables partners, and ensures an ever-increasing sales pipeline.
- For each territory, ensure that a sales plan is reviewed regularly, there are documented partner sales goals for the top ten key partner account plans, and the top twenty customer account plans.
- Expand sales with existing channel partners and identify and develop new channel partners.
- Collaborate regularly with inside sales, renewals, sales engineering, professional service, and marketing teams and peers to ensure strategies, action plans, and execution activities are aligned to exceed sales goals.
- Ensure the EMEA sales team is enabled and skilled to achieve sales targets. They successfully utilize our sales automation tools to maximize sales productivity, ensure quality customer engagement, manage existing opportunities, and drive new business.
- Proactively and regularly engage key partners and ensure they are enabled to achieve sales targets and grow their BarTender business.
- Attend partner sales calls to "view" partner sales processes and skills.
- Regularly utilize sales data to improve sales, pinpoint partner growth opportunities and understand market dynamics.
- Review direct report activities regularly, at least weekly, and report monthly and quarterly on sales activities, achievements, and performance to plan.
- Discuss activities, opportunities, and issues with immediate supervisor at least every two weeks or as needed. Inform management on market, sales, and regional competitive forces or trends.
- Travel up to 35% across EMEA and to the US annually.
