Within the Straumann Group, our Integrated Dental Technologies organization strives to empower dental professionals and partners to make patient care more accessible, predictable, and convenient. The Director of Product Management will lead a team of product management professionals, driving the development of the assigned portfolio in alignment with company goals. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to phase-out. The director will contribute to strategy development, align priorities and objectives for the assigned portfolio, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and neighboring organizations. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, expertise in lean and agile methodologies, and a deep understanding of the dental market to foster innovation, drive product adoption, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Own the assigned portfolio of products, services, and workflows, and lead the team of product managers and product owners
Embrace the company's culture and foster a lean and agile product management approach
Co-create new solutions with customers, conduct market research, and analyze trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape
Contribute to strategy development, drive business planning, roadmap generation, and ensure alignment across the portfolio
Align priorities and objectives among stakeholders, and represent the portfolio during product increment planning
Realize business outcomes, visualize progress, and resolve impediments
Collaborate closely with neighboring departments, product marketing, and regional organizations
Build and maintain relationships with external partners to enhance the product portfolio
Drive continuous improvements by eliminating waste, delays, and investing in the delivery pipeline

About the ideal candidates
Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in business, marketing, engineering, dentistry, or related field; MBA preferred
Minimum of 10 years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the dental or medical device industry
Proven track record of leading product management in a complex and regulated environment
Strong understanding of the dental market, customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements
Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
Experience with digitalization in healthcare
High degree of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
Business fluency in English, Spanish, or German preferred
