ROLE SUMMARY: King's College School, an Inspired and King's School, is seeking to appoint a Director of Studies of the whole school who is committed to student wellbeing and academic excellence. This is a permanent position commencing in September 2024.
The successful candidate will most likely be a senior leader or experienced Head of Department in the UK private or state sector or at an international school that delivers the British curriculum.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Have experience of successful leadership and management at a senior level in first-rate schools, across the UK and internationally. Have held various and extensive management and teaching roles in British National Curriculum schools, both in the UK and internationally. Has experience of timetabling or is willing to be trained how to timetable a whole school. Possess excellent knowledge of IGCSE and good knowledge of the entire British National Curriculum, inclusive of KS5. Have experience of line managing members of staff who line manage others in turn Know how to deal effectively with employee recruitment, retention and with the major processes involved in human resources (e.g. employment procedures) Have experience of contributing to staff development Possess the ability to work as part of an education group, developing effective professional relationships with peers in other school Understand high quality THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Bachelor Degree (essential) The ability to work as part of an education group, developing effective professional relationships with peers in other school Understanding of high quality teaching and the ability to model this for others and to support others to improve Understanding of school finances and financial management Effective communication and interpersonal skills SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT Inspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
