Summary: The role will have the primary responsibility of designing and executing the hotel's public relations and communication strategy to guarantee the brand positioning and the continuous visibility of the hotel and its outlets in national and international media according to the hotel's business objectives. Next to the local implementation of press events in collaboration with the brand and operational teams, the position is accountable for the handling and liaison of press relations and influencers and creating local PR stories. A strong knowledge of Communication and PR and its key national and local media contacts, new trends within travel, food, film, fashion, local culture, and creative thinking are essential for this position.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop full-year public relations and communications strategy to support the hotel's overall business objectives.Develop press-worthy content for the national and key feeder markets.Proactively source innovative public relations opportunities and collaborations to promote the hotel's news and senior/brand spokespersons.Define core messages of the hotel and its outlets, develop press materials.Maintain and strengthen the relationships with top-tier travel/trade, consumer lifestyle, and local influencers.Act as main contact for crisis communications.Assist the DOSM in the development of the yearly marketing plan and its budget preparation.Support the DOSM in the coordination, promotion, and execution of events.Work closely with high profile media trips, VIP outreach, and management.Coordinate the development of the hotel's media exposure and content.Provide monthly evaluation of media exposure and public relation activities including performance of PR campaigns along with return on investment statistics.QualificationsYOU AREAn individual that possesses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of related experience.Leadership skills and project management.Skilled in innovative copywriting and editing.Ability to work independently and under pressure.Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written in Spanish, English, and Catalan.Knowledge of local, international market and current trends.Advanced computer skills and detailed knowledge of various computer programs, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.YOU HAVETertiary qualified, preferably in Communications, Journalism and/or Business.
Experience2 - 3 years in public relations/advertising ideally within the hospitality industry.
