The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of individual major and principal gift prospects and donors.
Directs and administers all aspects of annual giving to include direct mail, personal visitation and corporate engagement.
Establishes and fosters a grateful patient program, maintaining donor databases and gift processing, promoting donor recognition and stewardship.
Coordinates the Foundation Board and plays a central role in developing, overseeing, managing major gift strategies and programs and coordinating them with other segments of the Foundation's efforts.Your EverydayManages the operations of the Foundation, including establishing annual goals and strategies for all giving and program development, preparing the Foundation budget and monthly and annual reports on all giving activities, and supervising the Foundation Manager.Works directly with the Foundation Board of Directors in all aspects of their engagement with and on behalf of the Foundation.Develops and oversees a donor stewardship program that fosters relationships, encourages engagement, and builds increased private support.Works with hospital to promote giving, develop fundraising strategies that focus on organizational strategic priorities, employee needs, and community support.Responsible for the collection of all donor and prospect information in the database to include supervision of all gift entry to ensure accuracy.Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of data entry.Monitors to ensure the timely acknowledgement of all gifts.Develops strategies to capture all pertinent donor/prospect information in the database.Interfaces with the leadership to maximize fundraising strategies and the success of a grateful patient program.Manages all Giving Societies.Develops all communication and campaigns for Giving Societies.Formulates and executes a communications program to support annual giving.Analyzes each annual giving mailing and makes suggestions about future mailings based on results.Identifies, cultivates, and solicits corporate level annual gifts.Manages a prospect pool for the foundation with annual goals for personal visits and giving outcomes.
Prepares solicitation strategies for prospects.Insures proper donor recognition and stewardship.Manages annual giving donor recognition events.Develops a plan for acknowledging gifts and thanking donors.
Creates and implements stewardship program for annual giving donors.The Must-HavesMinimum:EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 8 years of progressive fundraising experience and 2 years of related managerial experience.EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSRequired: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong written and personal communication skills.Good organizational ability and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated success in working closely with boards, donors, prospects and volunteers.Demonstrated track record of success in building sustainable fundraising programs and raising major and annual gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.Understanding importance of complying with ethical standards and membership as set forth in professional organizations like the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, Association of Fundraising Professionals, National Society of Fund Raising Executives, and Council of Gift Annuities.WORK SHIFT:Days (United States of America)#J-18808-Ljbffr
