THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder, the Director of Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing operational processes that drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness and quality across Medialab to ensure we have best in class and future-facing systems and processes that reflect the brilliant work we do for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Process/'Systemology':
Evaluate existing processes within the business, identify gaps and ensure consistent use across Medialab to provide efficiency and scalability. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and identify bottlenecks.Client Operations Efficiency:
Work with the Client Managing Directors to ensure client operational efficiency within the team and smooth running of recently embedded revised team structure. Collaborate with Finance to make month-end billing process more efficient and better use of current media trading/invoicing platform. Conduct a Medialab Services audit – reviewing what we offer, identifying gaps, and maximizing organic growth across channels and services. Manage contract processes within client teams to ensure Scopes of Work and SLAs are reflective of agreements; review contract renewal processes for proactive client conversations.AI:
Drive change within the business to ensure the efficiencies of AI are realized. Collaborate with internal teams to identify where AI can be best applied, enabling teams to work more efficiently and transform processes.Office Management:
Oversee the Office Manager to ensure a productive and welcoming workspace for our team and clients.Internal systems/Communications:
Evaluate existing systems and tools to ensure they meet Medialab's current and future needs. Streamline internal communication platforms to enhance collaboration and drive efficiency. Communicate and embed Medialab's Golden Rules to promote efficient and productive working practices.Information Technology:
Manage the relationship with our external Master Service Provider to monitor effectiveness, manage risk, and oversee information security compliance. Assess future needs for continuous improvement.Sustainability:
Ensure the ESG/Sustainability Lead drives change within Medialab regarding internal emissions and the impact of client work. Embed ESG initiatives into operational processes and strategy. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Significant relevant experience in an operational leadership role with a track record of implementing and managing processes and efficiencies.Proactive with a drive for change, able to anticipate future needs to enable growth.Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence.Experience with project management methodologies and tools to drive effective delivery.Commercial acumen to manage budgets, identify cost efficiencies, and maximize resources.Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.Broad knowledge of IT/information security, systems, tools, and technology, with a curiosity for effective AI implementation.Able to manage senior relationships and report at the Board level.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and tasks.
