Mission The Director Fibrinogen launch is responsible for formulating strategy together with the Senior Director, and executing the action plan for a successful global launch of a fibrinogen concentrate, while keeping oversight of the overall cross-functional launch readiness efforts. Will be required to communicate and represent the launch strategies and plans at different levels within the organization. He/she leverages exceptional advocacy, communication and negotiation skills to co-create strategies and plans.
What your responsibilities will be Launch management: Participates in all aspects of launch strategy and planning from proof of concept (clinical) to launch, contributing to the success of launch in all the geographies. Responsible for driving alignment across Marketing, Market Access and Medical leads on overall launch strategy which shall inform all tactics/deliverables which Marketing, Market Access and Medical shall be accountable for delivering against. Participates in strategic launch decision-making for deliverables requiring cross-functional collaboration. Global Collaboration: Co-creates launch strategy with the local product teams that accounts for market specificities. Works with local teams to prepare for all launch scenarios and, in partnership with the Launch Sr. Director, ensure that the respective teams execute on those. Team Management: Contributes to challenging the extended launch team to design innovative approaches to launch preparation with the goal to improve patient care. Actively contributes their expertise and input in the development and execution of launch strategies. Leads or participates in launch sub teams workstreams, to the extent appropriate, to ensure alignment with overarching strategy. Ensures inclusion of legal and compliance representatives in decision making. Manages Product Manager role for designated projects. Planning: Accountable for strategic business planning related to the asset. Undertakes discussions with colleagues at the strategic level during business planning cycles leading to long term forecast. Off-cycle, accountable for leading strategic discussions to escalate budget requests to respective functional leadership. May aggregate budget for reporting purposes to senior leadership. During the business planning cycle participates in the alignment on key investments at a strategic level. Ensures budget and resourcing will effectively support pre-launch activities. Execution: Together with the Senior Director, creates and establishes a flexible launch plan that will enable the product to be successfully launched on time. Responsible for delivering upon launch metrics. Monitoring of timelines and deliverables, workstream interdependencies, risk management. Monitoring joint launch KPIs and overseeing mitigation strategies, to the extent appropriate. Bachelor's degree in business, science or related field; MBA or science-related graduate degree preferred. Recent launch experience in Europe and/or US. Experience working within a global team is preferred. (7-10) years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in disciplines such as marketing, sales, consulting, product development, business development, market access, government affairs or related experience. Deep Target Audience knowledge and experience of activities required to launch. Knowledge of both the EU & US environment, the global organization and an understanding of how it works. Experienced in commercialization, including a working understanding of patient and market access as well as specialty distribution models. Knowledge of clinical development process and strategies. Comfortable with uncertainty and demonstrated strong judgment when faced with new or unfamiliar responsibilities. Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners (local and global). Ability to challenge status quo as needed, effectively with senior management. Ability to oversee multiple projects running simultaneously. Hands-on and able to produce strong outcomes.
