As Director Corporate Brand & Creative, you will work across the AstraZeneca and Alexion Corporate Communications teams and the Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) network to lead corporate brand and creative output in support of a differentiated and trusted corporate brand and reputation.
You will ensure high-quality creative standards by leading the delivery of signature corporate brand programs and advising other teams on their brand and creative output. Our signature corporate brand programs include the ongoing strategic evaluation and development of the AstraZeneca and Alexion corporate brands, a brand engagement and guardianship program, a flagship global corporate campaign, and the translation of the corporate brand into quality business applications, assets, and communications.
Working internationally and cross-functionally, you will oversee complex brand challenges, guide the development of compelling creative content, and ensure brand adherence. You will collaborate with external agencies and suppliers to ensure we have the right creative and technical capabilities.
As a key member of the Corporate Brand & Reputation team, you will play an active role in shaping the team's agenda. You must be a strategic and creative thinker with a digital-first mindset, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and good cultural awareness to confidently advise, persuade, and influence senior stakeholders. Excellent visual judgment, project delivery, planning, and multi-channel communications experience are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead delivery of key corporate AstraZeneca and Alexion brand activities and assets and be responsible for results and performance.
Oversee AstraZeneca and Alexion corporate creative standards, continuously innovating and improving.
Oversee corporate brand assets and guidelines.
Partner with global, regional, and market teams to support the delivery of high-quality, creative content and ensure brand adherence.
Implement learnings and use data to drive improvements, adopting best practices and ensuring approaches remain best-in-class.
Ensure all corporate communications share a unified look and feel that reflect the company's business priorities, strategy, and brand.
Oversee and manage the day-to-day work of a Senior Manager, Corporate Brand & Creative in the delivery of key programmes and activities.
Oversee external suppliers, agencies, and contracts as required.
Oversee quality and compliance of creative work.
Knowledge and Experience
Experienced brand strategist and art director.
Minimum 10 years' brand and design experience working in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications team.
Significant experience of managing different stakeholder relationships and advising and working with senior stakeholders.
Strong understanding of digital and social media and adopting a 'digital-first' mindset for brand and creative content.
Experience in measurement and how to use data and research to drive brand and communications efforts.
Experience in working with international teams or on projects with international dimensions.
Experience of working in pharma/other highly regulated sector is desirable.
