This role will collaborate with our clients across a variety of sectors to help define client-specific climate change needs and help build innovative climate change solutions, strategies, and programs.
The Director's role will help take our growing climate change business to the next level in our global operations.
In collaboration with the Director, Sustainability Services, the Vice President of Geosciences, and the Executive Vice President, Development Strategy, this role will contribute to setting the Climate Change business's direction, growth planning, and ensuring that we're working effectively to achieve our mission, meet financial goals, and grow efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading the growth of Ausenco's climate change service by planning and executing climate change-related services and projects across our client sectors and within relevant areas of expertise.Facilitating collaboration with climate change resources across the organization to support delivery of climate change services across all key client sectors, including mining, transportation and logistics, infrastructure, and government.Overseeing the development and reporting on Ausenco's carbon footprint including GHG reduction and mitigation projects.Preparing climate change briefings, strategies, and action plans.Building and fostering a strong reputation in the marketplace as Climate Change experts to maintain and enhance revenue opportunities with new and existing clients and through internal cross-selling.Supporting delivery of our ESG strategy and planning in finding better ways to help deliver sustainable outcomes for our clients.Preparing or contributing to proposals, estimates, and the scoping of projects.Promoting and maintaining a positive and inclusive environment by living Ausenco's values and through cooperation within the Office, region, and across other areas of the organization.QualificationsYou are an experienced management consultant looking for your next challenge and can offer the following skills and experience:15+ years of progressive consulting experience within a high-growth, dynamic organization, preferably in engineering, consulting, or business management.Leading multi-disciplinary teams with the diverse suite of technical expertise required to develop effective solutions to meet climate change challenges.Experience consulting on climate change issues, developing Climate Change/GHG strategies, and ensuring business integration.Familiarity with mining and other key sectors including transportation and government.Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations.Good commercial sense and experience expanding and developing business with new and existing clients.Ability to move initiatives forward by working through complexity and uncertainty to drive initiatives to completion.Graduate degree in science, engineering, or business.Spanish and/or French language skills an asset.Working for Ausenco means you will not settle for the status quo; you will be part of a forward-thinking, culturally diverse organization.
