Negotiate contracts and be the primary relationship manager with processors (including card processors, gateways, acquirers, bank payments, alternative payments, etc.)
for the EMEA and APAC regions.
- Liaison to Finance, Treasury, Product, and Legal on payment operations issues, working closely across departments to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Serve as a point of contact, and driver, to ensure that payment operations processes are properly designed and implemented.
- Develop operational strategy and tactics that balance aggressive growth internationally while seeking to optimize productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering partners to surface optimization opportunities across the payments chain and develop new payment products.
- Source new Payment vendors as needed and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to explore new payment initiatives and expansion opportunities.
- Work with external partners, maintain relationships, and drive dialogue/opportunities with major card and other payment networks.
- Create documentation and processes to ensure payment operations can scale to meet customers' needs.
- Help develop plans to scale internationally.
Qualifications - BA/BS degree; MBA preferred, but not required.
- 5+ years of related experience in Payments, preferably with international and cross-border experience.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Must have a high level of initiative.
- Excellent quantitative and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be a strategic thinker and also have outstanding project management skills.
- Must have the ability to multitask and take on a variety of different projects.
- Strong financial modeling skills required.
- Solid e-commerce experience required.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% - 40%.
