Here's what we'll do together :
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Digital Payments Lead to join our team. This role involves developing and executing our payments strategy, while working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize our payment processes, enhance customer experience, and mitigate fraud risks. This role also involves some hands-on operational work to manage and resolve daily payment processing issues and ensure smooth operational workflows.
For this role, we're looking for someone commercially savvy, who stays updated with industry trends and business developments to guide decisions and actions that positively impact business outcomes. You will need to demonstrate a drive for excellence and achieving high performance, maintaining energy and determination even in challenging circumstances. Additionally, you will be asked to balance day-to-day activities with strategic objectives, considering future scenarios to ensure long-term success.
Your tasks & responsibilities :

Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Head of Digital Trading to craft and implement a comprehensive payments strategy.
Fraud and Risk Management: Define and manage strategies for chargebacks and fraud monitoring, including dispute resolution and identifying fraud patterns.
KPI Monitoring: Track and analyze payment KPIs to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Reporting: Monthly performance reporting to Head of Digital Trading and Ecommerce Director, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.
Customer Insights and Process Improvement: Analyze customer behavior to suggest product, messaging, or process changes that enhance customer satisfaction and reduce issues.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of strategic objectives.
Project Management: Oversee and prioritize the payments project roadmap, ensuring timely and effective delivery of initiatives.
Market and Technology Monitoring: Stay informed about new technologies and tools in the payments industry to improve processes and achieve business objectives.
Innovative Payment Solutions: Propose and implement new global & regional payment options to expand our portfolio, increase website performance and reduce costs.
Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and manage relationships with key payment suppliers.
Operational Work: Manage daily payment processing issues, oversee chargeback recovery efforts (including Klarna RFI), and ensure smooth operational workflows to maintain high payment success rates and minimize revenue losses.
Operational Improvement: Manage and resolve operational and product-related issues in payment processes.
Works closely with Customer Service team to manage and resolve customer-facing issues promptly.

What you'll bring to the table :

3-5 years' experience with online payments processing or payment operations on the client side.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Data, Product Management, Business, or a related field.
Expertise in card processing, chargeback representment, payment fraud detection, or fraud management.
Experience with payment systems required. Experience with Adyen and/or Forter highly valued.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI tools like Tableau.
Understanding of regulations in the payments industry, including PCI compliance & GDPR.
Oral and written fluency in English required.
