.We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to build, operate, and scale our core infrastructure. This role requires collaboration with Product Engineering teams, an active involvement in exploring new technologies, and responsibility for ensuring high availability and performance of our services. This position is well-suited for an independent, skilled engineer who is passionate about system stability, automation, and continuous learning.This position is available both as a hybrid position in Marbella (Spain) or as a fully remote position from inside the EU.Who we are:Valsea Technologies is a global technical consultancy specialised in Scala and JavaScript development. Through our ongoing efforts in research and development, we are continuously enhancing our toolset to stay at the forefront of technology and deliver cutting-edge solutions for managing content, data, and performance at scale.Our Platform is built on AWS, managed by Terraform, with Kubernetes for microservices, Cassandra, Elasticsearch OS, Druid for data storage, Kafka, Hazelcast and Prometheus, Grafana, ELK for monitoring and logs, everything running on Linux.The DevOps team also manages the networking components, like subnets, security groups, load balancers. The CI pipeline is built using Github actions and the CD part uses ArgoCD.Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure that supports all of our services, ensuring reliability and scalability.Collaboration with Product Teams: Work closely with Product Engineering teams to support the development, deployment, and monitoring of reliable and performant software applications.Technology Evaluation: Participate in identifying and evaluating new technologies and platform services that can enhance our system's efficiency, security, and performance.On-Call Support: Join our on-call rotation to address urgent production issues, demonstrating ownership and quick problem-solving in critical situations.Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing: Stay current with industry trends, learn new tools and technologies, and contribute to our team's knowledge by sharing insights and best practices.What We Require From You:At least 4 years of experience in the field.Linux Expertise (CentOS, Ubuntu): Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems, including performance optimization, security, and troubleshooting.Core Infrastructure Tools (Must-have 3 of 4):Kubernetes: In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and cluster management.AWS: Hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture best practices.Terraform: Proficiency with Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.Networking & Load Balancing: Advanced understanding of networking protocols, load balancing configurations, and traffic routing.Observability & Monitoring: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Cassandra for system monitoring, logging, and performance tracking
