Job Overview We are seeking a Development Engineer IV - Semiconductor Device – Continuous Improvement to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing cell efficiency through innovative processes and materials. This role focuses on optimizing thin film deposition processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment, refining laboratory methodologies, and developing advanced metrologies to characterize thin film and glass properties. Key Responsibilities Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance cell efficiency by exploring innovative materials and thin-film device methodologies. Design, execute, and analyze engineering tests, including statistical evaluation and detailed interpretation of results. Identify and implement process improvements by leveraging material science expertise and understanding tool capabilities. Develop and refine metrologies for characterizing thin film and glass properties. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless execution of engineering tests in a production setting. Clearly communicate technical findings and progress to stakeholders, including senior management and production teams. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards. Essential Skills and Qualifications Education and Experience: Ph.D. in an engineering discipline with 10 years of relevant technical experience. Master's Degree in an engineering discipline with 15 years of relevant technical experience. Required Skills: Deep expertise in material science, particularly compound semiconductors and thin-film processes, including chemical and physical vapor deposition techniques. Comprehensive knowledge of material characterization methods with the ability to integrate diverse data sets. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams with varied technical backgrounds toward common goals. Strong skills in structured problem-solving, combining empirical data analysis with scientific modeling.
