YOUR TASKS: As a member of our international team, you will take over several development and data analysis tasks for our electrical yaw system. The system consists of a frequency converter system that controls multiple electro-mechanical drives to turn the nacelle. In detail, this includes among others the following tasks: Specify, perform, evaluate and document tests for the yaw system on component, system and turbine level Analyse field data to verify the correct behaviour of the yaw system Program the yaw converter according to aligned functional specifications and design control strategies Collaborate in cross-functional teams to discuss yaw system requirements and put them together in a technical specification Review with external suppliers the proposed technical solutions, component dimensioning and optimal configuration Create relevant technical documentation, e.G. FMEA, manuals and technical notifications YOUR PROFILE: We are looking for candidates who have: M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar background, preferably in the field of automation, power electronics and/or electrical drives Advanced user in MATLAB/Simulink Expertise in a programming language like SCL (Siemens) and/or Python is a plus Experience in data analysis to be of advantage Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Spanish and/or German is helpful Well-structured and autonomous way of working with a solution-oriented mindset as well as accuracy and efficiency Intercultural understanding and thriving on working collaboratively within cross-functional and global teams Readiness for travel to tests at testbenches for up to 20% of the working time on average YOUR BENEFITS In addition to the opportunity to make our world a little more sustainable, we offer you: *Some offers may vary by location Nordex adheres to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
