HABILIDADES-CUALIFICACIONES/SKILLS-QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Background: degree and PhD in engineering, aeronautics or applied mathematics.
Required knowledge: knowledge in CFD and high order methods, Computational Fluid Dynamics, wind turbines.
Excellent computational skills: Fortran, HPC.
Language skills: Fluent in English; Spanish is not required but advantageous.

Se aplican las pautas establecidas en el proceso de selección del nuevo Reglamento para el proceso de selección y contratación del personal investigador, personal técnico y personal gestor relacionado con la investigación de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, aprobado en la UPM.

COMENTARIOS ADICIONALES/ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Off-coustics is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) and will take place at the School of Aeronautics in Madrid (ETSIAE) - Univ. Politécnica de Madrid. Off-coustics combines numerical simulations and experiments to provide insights into the physics governing the aero/hydro-acoustic generation and propagation for offshore wind and tidal farms. Control of these physics will enable the design of silent offshore farms to minimise the impact on marine life. The researcher will implement acoustic analogies and perform wind farm acoustic simulations to minimise noise emissions while ensuring enough energy generation. The successful candidates will join the dynamic research team of Prof. Esteban Ferrer (https://sites.google.com/site/eferrerdg/) at the school of aeronautics ETSIAE-UPM in Madrid, Spain.
