Objectives of the roleBuilding and implementing new development tools and infrastructureUnderstanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developersWorking on ways to automate and improve development and release processesTesting and reviewing code written by others and analyzing resultsEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixesWorking with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedAssessing current systems and processes and developing ways to improve themResponsibilitiesDeploy updates and fixes and provide necessary technical supportBuild tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve developer experienceDevelop software/scripts to integrate with the internal build systemPerform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issuesDevelop scripts to automate the processDesign procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceWrite specification documentsImplement and maintain the CI/CD pipelineRequired skills and qualificationsAt least 3 years of experience in DevOps of Software developmentMinimum education of BS in CS, EE, CEAwareness of DevOps and Agile principles and the ability to apply themProficiency with Git and Bitbucket workflowsGood knowledge of Jenkins pipeline (Groovy) and/or PythonSignificant experience with Windows and Linux operating system environmentsWorking knowledge of databases and SQLProblem-solving attitudeCollaborative team spirit
