Design Support Engineering : We are now looking for a Design Support Engineer to join our Bearing Centre. The position is permanent. The location for the position is in Porriño, Spain.
What will you be doing
In this position, your work will include support to create drawings for modifications and reparations on existing bearings, support to calculate and design new bearings when required, and related components as needed. As a flexible workgroup, it is required to provide support to other areas in the technical department. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have the support of your colleagues and line manager.
As design support engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Develop existing products, solutions and/or related technical information together with relevant stakeholders.
Make product and/or solution specific design and technical information.
Cooperate with internal engineering organizations.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
A good understanding of hydrodynamic bearings.
Experience from working with hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
Independence.
A good knowledge of informatic design tools, Inventor / Solidworks.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you are ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
