? Your mission As a Design Associate at Alan, you'll create compelling, user-centric designs that bring our healthcare solutions to life. Your role is crucial in shaping digital experiences that empower our members. You'll contribute to our design system, craft visuals that solve real problems, and participate in user research to inform your work. Beyond design, you'll help enhance team efficiency by improving our infrastructure, processes, and documentation.
What you'll do Create compelling designs : Craft designs for our digital products and marketing materials, bringing ideas to life through wireframes, prototypes, graphics, and illustrations that delight our members and elevate our brand.
Collaborate across teams : Work closely with product, marketing, and other design team members to ensure cohesive and effective design solutions. Participate actively in brainstorming sessions and design critiques.
Enhance team efficiency : Contribute to improving team processes, infrastructure, and documentation. This includes streamlining workflows, maintaining up-to-date design guidelines, and supporting the adoption of new tools or methodologies that boost team productivity.
Develop and maintain our design system : Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all design assets and projects. This includes organizing and managing design assets, supporting the implementation of new design tools, and assisting with documentation.
Engage in user-centered design : Participate in user research and testing sessions, using insights to inform and refine your design decisions.
Employ AI in how we do design : And put tools, processes & mindset into place for the team.
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the B0-B1 level range .
What You'll Need 0-2 years of design or engineering experience (we count internships too!)
Good skills and interest to improve in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and After Effects+Premiere
A good grasp of UX/UI design principles and interest in learning
An eye for responsive design and mobile-first thinking
The ability to thrive in our fast-paced, sometimes chaotic (in a good way) environment
A portfolio that shows off both your product and brand design superpowers
Bonus Points: If you can make things move (motion graphics or animation)
HTML/CSS knowledge and being code-savvy
