We are seeking a Deployment Engineer to help us support product deployment and service releases for our current and future customers.
Reporting to the Manager of Deployment Engineering, this position provides technical expertise and support during the installation, deployment, and maintenance phases of DZS award-winning software products.
The Deployment Engineer is primarily involved in the analysis and implementation of technical system requirements and ensuring that project technical needs are met.

10% international travel can be expected.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do. Participate in deployment projects with high quality standards and tight timelines. Help with the gathering of requirements from customers and finding technical solutions to customize a product that fits the customer's needs. Provide Technical Support to customers working closely with DZS Technical Experts. Provide support for the installation, configuration and testing of DZS products and solutions. Prepare technical environments for DZS product demonstrations and trials. Communicate and follow up project status and deliverables by reporting regularly to external and internal stakeholders. Qualifications: What you will bring. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Master of science in Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering is a plus. Knowledge of database models and their use through SQL. Familiarity with object-oriented software languages. Desirable: Experience with Linux (as a user) as well as programming in scripting languages like Python. Desirable: Knowledge of network or telecom management systems and devices, specifically as they pertain to xDSL and optical fiber related systems. Desirable: advanced Linux experience. Desirable: Experience with DevOps tools (eg.
Ansible). Excels in providing technical support to internal and external customers. Strong organizational skills. Problem solving approach, Initiative and Continuous learning. Time management - Proven ability to estimate and prioritize tasks. Ability to multi-task in a multi-customer support environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to customer service. Comfortable working with customers to gather requirements and present results. Able to interface with both technical customers and non-technical personnel.
