PEAK Wind is looking for an Accountant to support the financial management of a portfolio of onshore wind farms in Aragon, Spain.Trusted Advisors for Developers and Investors for some of the Largest Renewable AssetsAt PEAK Wind, we specialise in operations, asset management, and project management of renewable energy assets and take pride in providing best-in-class commercial, financial, and operational advisory and support to our clients.We work with some of the world's largest infrastructure investments and are proud to count market-leading utilities, investment funds, and IPPs among our clients.Accountant to support an Onshore Wind Power PortfolioWorking closely with the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions that support the project operations throughout the Asset's lifetime.
You will be responsible to deliver financial transparency to maximize value creation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Management of accounting, such as general ledger, journal entries, and accounting systems;Prepare quarterly, semester, and annual financial statements of all of the entities of the portfolio;Prepare consolidated financial statements on a quarterly, semester, and annual basis;Prepare the statutory accounts of all entities that comprise of the portfolio and lead annual audit process as required;Driving the overall AP / AR including month-end reconciliation process with bank statements;Develop Financial reporting: Balance Sheet, PL, Cash flow statements;Be responsible for Fixed assets and Treasury management.Strong Accounting Background with a strong track recordAs a minimum, you have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration with +5 years of professional accounting, bookkeeping, and tracking assets in Spanish GAAP.
Ideally, you also have previous working experience with renewable assets with experience in multiple types of accounting systems.You are an analytical thinker and work with a structured and result-driven approach to problem-solving.
You are comfortable synthesizing complex and disparate information and are a quick learner.
You can communicate fluently in English, orally and in writing.
Your mindset is outgoing, and you communicate effortlessly with stakeholders at all levels.People tell you that you are a great listener and a team player, who can work independently and under pressure.
The base location of this role is considered semi-flexible; however, the preferred location is in Zaragoza, Spain.
