JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for creating and executing Demand Plans that will support the company's sales goals and strategies.
Creating collaborative relationships across the sales, marketing, and supply chain organizations is critical to the success of this position and this position is critical to the success of the company.
Required work permit to work in Spain (Barcelona).
The Demand Planner will work in the Demand Planning team supporting the manager in establishing the best Demand Plan: Monthly for the mid-long term (typically 18m out) and weekly for the next 2-3m (inside the time fence).
He/she will also work to establish the Demand Planning department as the "go-to" point for any topic related to expected forthcoming demand.
This role requires strong business-data analysis skills, enabling the person to understand which are the relevant factors influencing demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Hold profitable conversations with the commercial and Marketing teams (challenging them required).
Communicating sales projections to Finance.
Run an efficient continuous improvement by understanding which assumptions have been generating the biggest demand plan error and bias.
Generation of Volume and value forecasting through executing the demand planning components of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Incorporate: Sales/CBD inputs.
Marketing intelligence for new product launches and discontinuations.
Historical Sales from available data sources or/and Point of Sales (POS) information.
Business consensus on volumes.
Analyze and review sales, inventories, POS, consumption trends and monitor sales achievements to proactively identify issues and propose changes to the forecast and/or improvements.
Liaise with Marketing for new product launches and discontinuations.
Evaluate assumptions (pre and post launch) – new product forecast, shade ranking, cannibalization.
Liaise with Sales to determine pipe forecast requirements for new product launches.
Coordinate and maintain demand planning databases and systems.
Understand and apply statistical models, depending on historical patterns and horizons using exception-based planning
