The Delivery Manager has a detailed understanding of product priorities, the backlog, development progress, and timelines and release schedules.Summary of Responsibilities:Key point of contact between product and engineering. Being the single source of truth on progress and priorities.Owner of the sprint process.Work with engineering leads and product managers to make sure they create sprint-ready user stories.Coordinate and facilitate meetings to track and improve progress and processes.Tracks feature progress and metrics that help plan future work.Manage and communicate mid-sprint changes needed to specs and designs to dev heads and QA.Communicate upcoming and past releases to the team.Continuously evaluate and improve the software delivery process.Understand product priorities, backlog, development progress, timelines, and release schedules to guide the product development and delivery.For optimal performance of the functions and role, the person who joins this position must have a high level of written and spoken English equivalent to C1.Enforcing Standards and Principles:Ensuring feature specifications are at a level deemed high enough before writing user stories with dev heads and QA.Ensuring tickets that are split into frontend and backend components are well defined before they are "ready to play".Ensuring task size and timeline estimates are as accurate as possible and working with the team to make sure these timelines are met (and if timelines will not be met, communicating changes to PM as early as possible).All tasks that are being worked on must be included in the sprint.Tasks will be selected for the sprint based on their priority in the backlog.Tasks that are in the sprint will be ready to play.All tasks in the sprint will be pointed.Tasks in the sprint will be labeled in alignment with their status.Where possible, tasks in progress will be completed before starting new tasks (to enable faster deployment).All tasks in backlog will be full specced, and the backlog will only contain items that we have decided to commence work on in an upcoming sprint.Quality assurance:Establishing quality assurance processes and standards that align with the Agile software development methodology.Collaborating with the development team to ensure that quality assurance is integrated into the entire software delivery process.Leading and managing the quality assurance team to ensure that all tests are carried out efficiently and effectively.Identifying and addressing any quality-related issues that arise during the development process.Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the final product meets their requirements and is of the highest quality.Deployments and Releases:Developing and implementing a deployment and release strategy that aligns with the overall software delivery plan and timeline.Coordinating with the development team to ensure that software is ready for deployment and release on schedule.Managing the deployment process and overseeing the release of software updates and new versions.Ensuring that all necessary tests and quality checks have been completed before deployment and release.Collaborating with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and release, including managing and troubleshooting any issues that arise.Our values:Our people are our superpowers.
