.**The opportunity**:Work with Amey on one of the UK's most exciting rail projects.TRU is a once-in-a-generation rail upgrade programme to deliver faster, longer, more frequent, and more reliable rail services across the north of England, from Newcastle, Hull and York towards Manchester and Liverpool via Leeds.By connecting the major cities of the North with an enhanced, more reliable service, it has the potential to impact the lives of thousands of passengers and support economic growth across the whole of the north of England.Amey, in partnership with Arup, BAM and Network Rail is upgrading the route between Manchester and Leeds, which includes civils, track, railway systems and electrification.The opportunity to use modern digital signalling and train control also means we can lay the foundation for the Digital Railway.Working with Amey on TRU is essential for anyone serious about a career in rail.You will be pioneering new techniques, using the latest technology, and helping us set new standards for collaborative working.**The role**The Delivery Director will provide leadership of the sub-project and work with the senior leadership team to provide further leadership to the wider project team.You will deliver the project works, ensuring that the quality of works meets all expectations and that targets are met or exceeded at all times.**Key responsibilities & Accountabilities**:**Responsibilities**:Deployment of the strategic alliance frameworkCreating a culture necessary to achieve exceptional results in deliveryCompliance with the governance plan and responsibilities matrixDetermine the functions of the APT, monitoring and improving effectiveness in deliveryImplementing transparent governance and accountability structures for the Leadership TeamEnsure that all members of the APT understand the Alliance Charter and perform works in accordance with this.Integrate all participant personnel to the alliance by developing and one-team culture and identify within the Project Team.Preparing work status reports.Exercising diligence in the performance of worksAccountabilitiesProvide leadership to the project APTDevelopment and deployment of the APT and definition of roles and responsibilitiesDevelopment and oversight of the compilation of Project Section Target Price proposals and ensuring a value-assured section target price is developed.Deployment of management plans and processes for the APTPromote and lead a culture of delivering that respects and maintains the health and safety and well-being of all people working on travelling through or neighbouring the projectPerform the works in accordance with the alliance charterAchieve or better the key result areas set by the owner and the KPI's agreed with the APT.Prepare key result areas performance reports
