This is the role Podimo is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Content Research to lead our efforts in understanding the opportunity space in audio and expanding our content catalog.
This role is pivotal in shaping the direction of our content strategy by leveraging both direct research and collaborations with third-party market research firms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research, a deep understanding of the audio content industry, and the ability to translate research insights into actionable strategies.
The role is located in Copenhagen, London, Amsterdam, or Berlin and reports directly to our Chief Content Officer.Your main responsibilities in this role:Map our understanding of how audience segments value different podcasts and audio genres in each of our operating markets.Oversee the design, execution, and analysis of research projects conducted by third-party firms to ensure alignment with Podimo's strategic goals related to content creators.Conduct direct research to hone in on specific user needs and feedback on their audio content experiences within and outside Podimo.Identify and partner with leading sources for accurate audio and video listening data and social engagement.Work with data and insights to ensure teams are able to leverage data in their day-to-day decision making.Work with the Chief Content Officer to prioritize market segments in different markets and help to guide an ideal composition of Podimo's content catalog in each market.Assess the value and willingness to pay for different types of content to optimize monetization strategies.Understand our perception in the creator community and develop actions for Podimo's Director of Creator Platform to ensure we can improve our standing with creators.Work closely with Product UXR, data, and marketing teams to ensure research insights and recommendations are developed in collaboration with internal stakeholders and to ensure recommendations are integrated into product and marketing initiatives where relevant.Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key local content stakeholders with clear actions.This is you:We're looking for an awesome team player who resonates well with our values of being caring, courageous, and curious.
