Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Database System Specialist (Encoder) to manage and maintain our store's database systems. This role involves encoding, updating, and ensuring the accuracy of data related to inventory, sales, and customer information to support operational efficiency and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Data Encoding: Accurately enter and update data into the database, including product information, pricing, inventory levels, and sales transactions. Database Management: Monitor and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity and security. Data Analysis: Generate reports and analyze data to assist management in identifying trends, optimizing inventory levels, and improving sales strategies. System Maintenance: Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of database processes, procedures, and changes. Training: Provide training and support to staff on data entry procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and accuracy. Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies regarding data management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered. Previous experience in data entry, database management, or a similar role, preferably in a retail or grocery environment. Proficient in database management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access). Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
