Data Warehouse Engineer - up to £/€90,000 - Barcelona, Spain or London, UK
A leading social gaming company is looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer to work on a greenfield project building a data warehouse for its C-Level team to view reports on finance and gaming performance. The Data Warehouse Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing the DWH, dashboards, and data pipelines for real-time streaming of data.

Responsibilities
As the Data Warehouse Engineer, you will be responsible for selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide the requested capabilities.
You will be monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes.
The Data Warehouse Engineer will define data retention policies.
Enhancing & improving the quality of the company's data lake.
Implementing ETL processes.
Designing and planning data orchestration and structure.
Leading a small team of DWH engineers.
Key Skills
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and experience integrating data architecture and data governance into the analytics lifecycle.
Strong competency in data modelling and data design, including logical and physical modelling, partitioning strategies for large tables, and other database optimisations.
Solid experience with relational databases.
Understanding of pros and cons of different data warehouse methodologies and architectures (Kimball/Inmon/Data Lake/Hybrid).
Experience designing Star, Snowflake Schemas, Dimensional Data Modelling, SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions), and CDC (Change Data Capture).
