OverviewAre you ready to drive PepsiCo's digital evolution and accelerate transformation across our global operations?
PepsiCo is continuing to establish a Data Governance program that will be the custodian of the processes, policies, rules and standards by which the Company will define its most critical data.
This program will:
Define ownership and accountability of our critical data assets to ensure they are effectively managed and maintain integrity throughout PepsiCo's systems.Leverage data as a strategic enterprise asset enabling data-based decision analytics.Improve productivity and efficiency of daily business operations.The Data Governance Data Steward role is responsible for ensuring the business and IT adhere to and maintain alignment to the Enterprise Data Governance's processes, rules and standards. This role requires deep knowledge of the data requirements and business use as well as associated elements and processes involved.
This will be achieved through the Data Stewards operating as the single point of contact for those creating and consuming data within their respected data domain(s). Additionally, they will be interacting directly with key domain and project stakeholders, Data Governance Council, other data stewards across the organization and relevant SMEs throughout the organization as necessary. This position reports to the Program Data Governance Lead as part of the Data Governance and Architecture team.
ResponsibilitiesYour day-to-day with us: Program Data Steward: Execute standard policy for onboarding all in scope data into PepsiCo environments globally.Perform Data Discovery and Data Analysis (e.g. data fit for purpose, data completeness).Design Data Quality rules and perform data Quality Monitoring.Identify, classify and catalog critical data elements.Perform Data Privacy Assessments for new data sources.Perform Root Cause Analysis of DQ issues, define remediation plan and oversee execution of remediation at source.Work with data vendors to ensure data onboarding follows standardized process.Responsible for the promotion of data accuracy and adherence to PepsiCo defined data management and governance practices.Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices.Maintains the single set of enterprise-level data standards & repository of key elements pertaining to their in-scope data domain (e.g external data) and promoting their use throughout the PepsiCo organization.Establishes and monitors key data management and governance metrics to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within their domain(s).Data Domain Coordination and Collaboration: Responsible for helping identify the need for enterprise-level (and some below enterprise-level) data standards based on strategic business objectives and the evolution of enterprise-level capabilities and analytical requirements.Collaborates across the organization to ensure consistent and effective execution of data governance and management principles across PepsiCo's enterprise and analytical systems and data domains.Promotes and champions PepsiCo's Enterprise Data Governance Capability and data management program across the organization.QualificationsWhat you will need to succeed: 4+ years of experience working in Data Governance or Data Management experience within a global CPG (Consumer Packaged Good) company or similar industry.Familiar with Market Insights data like Nielsen, Kantar and Circana.Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship.Ability to partner with both business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies.Experience with SQL, Databricks and Informatica (EDC, Axon, IDQ).Additional qualifications that will make you stand out for this position: Highly motivated with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated proficiency with using Excel to source, analyze, normalize and process data to define requirements for ongoing processing and management of the data including quality validations.Strong knowledge and understanding of master data elements and processes.Analytical mindset with Strong Communication Skills/Able to Persuade/Influence Others at all Organization Levels and the ability foster lasting partnerships.Ability to translate business requirements into data requirements.Ability to think beyond their current state (processes, roles and tools) and work towards an unconstrained, optimized design.Foster lasting relationships across varying organizational levels and business segments with the maturity to interface with all levels of management.What makes us different?Hybrid work model: combination of remote and collaborative office experience to enable innovation.Entrepreneurial environment in leading international company.Professional growth possibilities & learning opportunities.Variety of benefits to support your physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.Volunteering opportunities to help external communities.Diverse team with more than 30% of female representation & over 30 nationalities.Have a stake in D&I strategy and bring your whole self to work.About PepsiCoWe believe that culture should be at the cornerstone of everything we do at PepsiCo.
