Data Steward (Ref: MGMT 2024-17)
The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Data Steward.
ICIQ is one of the world's internationally recognized leading institutions in the field of chemistry committed to solving major social and economic challenges by conducting top quality research in three main areas: Sustainable Catalysis, Renewable Energy and Health.

Responsibilities: Final development of a data platform (basic version status) to enhance the upload of experimental research data to open repositories.Administration and automatization of the technological infrastructure of the platform, server management.Technical support to research groups in the definition of data management plans and datasets.Contribution to training actions and definition of specific documents and projects related to open science and data management.User support and software deployment to accomplish digitalization goals. Requirements: University Degree (Chemistry and/or Computer Engineering related degrees might be an advantage).Skills in computer science and programming languages Java and Spring Boot.Specific training in data management and open science and experience working with Git.Excellent communication (both oral and written) and networking skills.Advanced level of English, Spanish and Catalan is required.Teamwork skills. Valued qualities and skills: Previous experience and training in Chemical Research Data Management.Additional knowledge on framework ZK, Python, front end (Javascript, HTML, CSS) and Docker.Good knowledge of CERCA centres and the Catalan and Spanish research system.Proactive and enthusiastic personality. Selection Process:
ICIQ's selection process usually entails the following phases:
Pre-selection: The pre-selection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates' CVs.
This phase is merit-based.Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.Offer Letter: Once the successful candidate is selected, the People Unit will extend a Job Offer, specifying the start day, salary and overall job conditions.
