ForREWE digital Spain, a subsidiary of REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga we are looking for a Data Scientist (m/f/d), who will be part of the store-task management and will be responsible to manage the tasks/requirements.
As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems we plan, develop, configure, and operate efficient systems and applications forthe REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europewith around 380,000 employees. Our team of over 2,200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new technologies for the sector. Currently, we manage more than 80 logistics centers, 100 wide area network cables, and over 23,000 local network connections to ensure continuous data supply to the 32,000 scanner check-out desks in more than 7,300 stores.
What you will do:You will join an autonomous and dynamic team comprised of Data scientist, software developers, business analysts, data engineers, and business intelligence expertsYour role will be to collect, clean, transform and analyze dataYou'll guarantee the accuracy of data by creating data models and logics to enhance itWorking alongside your teammates, you will advance the data architecture involving big data and cloud technologiesWhat you will bring:Data manipulation and analysis: Ability to collect, clean, transform and analyze data from various sources. Knowledge of working with databases, SQL queries and handling large data setsStatistics and mathematical modelling: Understanding of statistical methods for data analysisData Visualization: Ability to visualize complex data and communicate key insights. Knowledge of working with visualization tools such as Power BIBig Data Technologies: Basic understanding of Big Data technologies. Experience working with distributed systems and processing large amounts of dataProgramming: Experience in programming languages such as Python to analyze data, implement statistical models and develop algorithmsGood written and spoken EnglishYou enjoy working in a team and you should have a passion for programming and ITProblem solving and critical thinking: Ability to analyse complex problems, find alternative solutions and use critical thinking to make data-driven decisionsNice to have:Experience with Jupyter Notebook and libaries like Pandas, Numpy, etc. would be an advantageCommunication and presentation: Ability to communicate and present complex technicalconcepts and results in an understandable way.
