To make our model work, data needs to be at the heart of every decision we take. We are looking for a Data Scientist who can optimize our demand planning and inventory management processes. You will solve a broad remit of questions and problems, by developing innovative and effective analytics frameworks and tools. Along with providing insights, you will partner directly with business stakeholders across our European HQ and local markets. This is a unique opportunity to shape the way we develop our innovative supply chain, and impact the way millions of people transform their grocery shopping habits.Responsibilities:You will design analytical frameworks, models and tools to understand and optimize our inventory management processes, with a primary focus on demand forecasting and replenishment systems.Through detailed exploratory analysis, you will build a deep understanding of all aspects of our performance, including forecasting accuracy, availability, supplier performance, waste & cost management, etc.You will routinely conduct root-cause diagnostic analysis projects that understand our performance and inform our planning, prioritization and decision making.You will design and implement reliable & scalable data pipelines that collect and manage the information you need.You will maintain data quality, reporting & monitoring to help teams take accurate decisions.You will play an active role in the development of new approaches that transform our inventory and demand planning by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.Qualifications:Master's degree in Quantitative Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering or an equivalent field.4 years+ of related experience in inventory planning, operations/supply chain, retail, consulting or finance environments, ideally in the internet and e-commerce industry.Expert SQL skills, ideally with experience using DBT and Snowflake.Experience using BI tools, ideally Looker & Tableau.Experience solving forecasting, optimization and measurement problems with advanced analytics and/or machine learning preferred.Programming experience with Python/R and Github preferred, but not required.Exceptional communication skills, with a drive to influence your business partners and stakeholders.Experience working in a fast-paced environment, such as an early stage startup, is preferred as you deal with an evolving business and sector.Ultimately, you care about impact, love a challenge, and take ownership in solving problems.At Gopuff, we know that life can be unpredictable.
