Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Biotechnology team.
The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to interpret complex biological data, driving insights that inform research and development initiatives.
This role is pivotal in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence that accelerates our mission to deliver groundbreaking biotechnological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze large-scale biological datasets, including genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data.
Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and trends.Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with biologists, bioinformaticians, and other cross-functional teams to understand data needs and research objectives.
Communicate findings effectively through reports, visualizations, and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Data Management: Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all projects.
Develop and maintain databases, pipelines, and workflows for efficient data processing and storage.Tool Development: Create and optimize computational tools and software to facilitate data analysis and visualization.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and biotechnology to integrate new techniques and technologies.Research & Innovation: Participate in the design and execution of experiments, contributing to hypothesis generation and experimental planning.
Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive innovation and improve biotechnological processes and products.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Master's Degree or Ph.D. preferred.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, preferably within the biotechnology or life sciences sector.
Proven track record of handling and analyzing complex biological datasets.Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ggplot2).
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, Genome browsers, Bioconductor).Analytical Skills: Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in designing and implementing algorithms for data mining and predictive modeling.Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Familiarity with genomic sequencing technologies and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and data compliance standards in biotechnology.
