We have a growing and talented data science organization, with a mission to enable the highest quality decision-making. We work throughout the company - in the product, business, and platform teams - using analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and machine learning techniques.
We are uniquely placed to use data to help make better decisions and improve data literacy across Preply.
What you'll be doing:
Develop analysis, frameworks and tools that will enable Preply to efficiently scale our marketing channels from SEM to Paid Social Media;
Shape our bidding strategy, continuously analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to refine targeting, maximize ROI and meet our growth targets;
Review and redefine critical metrics to track the performance of paid marketing programs. Advise on how to feed them into marketing attribution;
Enable quick and flawless experiment design and evaluation;
Advocate for data driven decision making: generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate insights to the marketing team and senior management;
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement;
Develop predictive and prescriptive data models to optimize paid marketing strategies;
Navigate ambiguity to help your team decipher complex problems, select an ideal solution from a wide array of analytic techniques and concepts, translate into actionable requirements and, when needed, be hands-on in helping your team to review code and insights;
Develop and grow your team: you'll need to coach individuals, lead technical discussions, recruit top talent and establish processes.
What you need to succeed:
Ideally 3-4 years' experience managing a Data Science and Analytics team focusing on Performance Marketing Optimization;
Experience working closely with GAds, Meta, Bing, TikTok bidding ecosystem;
Experience with experimentation platforms, tracking definition as well as AB test design and evaluation;
Strong coding skills in SQL and Python;
Creative mindset and proactive attitude towards the creation and evaluation of new solutions;
Strong curiosity, problem solving and problem finding skills;
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
Previous experience in Marketplaces and/or digital businesses;
Previous experience with Databricks;
Knowledge of Amplitude, Mixpanel or other product analytics tools;
Knowledge of coordination tools (Airflow, Luigi, Jenkins, etc.).
