We are looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to monitor compliance and data practices to ensure the business and its functions comply with the applicable requirements under the GDPR and other equivalent legislation. The DPO will be responsible for staff training, data protection impact assessments, and internal audits. The DPO will also serve as the primary contact for customers and individuals whose data is processed by the organisation.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:Being the recognised Data Protection Officer for CloudPay, ensuring that the DPO registration and documentation are in order, including being the focal point for all enquiries from the local statutory authorities.Providing training to staff within the country on their responsibilities in processing personal data.Investigating any local data incidents, providing effective reporting to customers and any applicable authority as necessary.Providing support to the compliance function as required, including customer audit and vendor compliance.Providing support to senior stakeholders as required including to the customer and vendor contracting teams.Assisting with implementing necessary changes to the data protection framework to maintain global compliance.Meetings with Customers based in EMEA as required.Attributes and Experience Required:Excellent understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Data Protection Officer within EMEA, having worked in that role or a similar role previously.Ability to serve as the primary contact for data protection authorities across EMEA.Ability to engage with stakeholders across the business and serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external queries.Experience with both customer and vendor contracts (including Model Clauses) and the ability to review proposed amendments to such contracts.Experience in setting standards and reviewing policies and procedures globally that meet the requirements under the GDPR and any localization requirements in countries of operation.Ability to develop and provide privacy training to various business functions.Previous experience with internal and external data privacy audits would be advantageous (including ISO and SOC audit experience).Experience in maintaining records of all data assets and exports, and maintaining a data security incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents including impact assessments, security breach responses, complaints, claims or notifications, and responding to subject access requests (SARs).Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to produce high-quality documents.Able to drive things forward both independently and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at all levels.Ability to communicate effectively in English in written as well as spoken form.Package and Benefits:Competitive annual salary.24 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.Earned Wage Access (via CloudPay Now app).Birthday leave.Flexible working.Life assurance.Private medical insurance.Personal and professional development opportunities.Friendly working environment.CloudPay is committed to being an equal opportunities employer.
