The PositionAs a Network Support Specialist, you will support our internal customers to define optimum solutions to fulfill their needs. You will be supporting the deployment of network infrastructure for Roche affiliates in Region Europe and EEMEA.
Main Responsibilities: Acts as a Data Network Management Services liaison to our consumers (Roche affiliates)Implement data network solutions based on our engineering standardsSupports and coordinates Roche affiliates network requests and changesCoordinates Roche vendors and third party suppliersCollaborates both, with internal parties as well as external providers on projects, escalations and resolutions of problemsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent3+ years working experience on supporting and implementing complex data networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN)Ability to work and collaborate in virtual teamsGood communication skillsExperience on working with external vendors and service providers (telecom carriers)Good understanding of global wide area networks and related routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)Working knowledge of security devices, such as firewalls, proxies and VPNs.Knowledge of ITIL as a model for operations support.Special Requirements: Provide on-call 3rd level supportFlexible working hours and occasional overtime; participate in on-call dutyFluent English language skills (written and spoken), additional language skills are an assetAt Roche, we believe in diversity and inclusion as essential values for our success.
