We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Modeller to join our dynamic Data Engineering & Cloud team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, database design, and data architecture. As a Data Modeller, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data models that ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance across various systems and applications.
Responsibilities Data Modeling: Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet the needs of business processes and technical requirements. Database Design: Work closely with database administrators, data engineers, and software developers to implement data models into physical databases. Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and ETL developers to ensure seamless data integration from various sources into the data warehouse. Data Architecture: Develop and maintain data architecture standards, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability across data models. Metadata Management: Document data models and maintain metadata repositories to ensure data governance and easy data discovery. Data Quality: Work with data governance teams to implement data quality rules and ensure high data accuracy and consistency. Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by refining data models, indexing strategies, and query performance. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders, analysts, and other technical teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions that meet business needs. Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in data modeling, database management, and data architecture to recommend best practices and innovative solutions. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture. Proven experience with Data Vault and Kimball modeling. Data Vault 2.0 certification. Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions, data lakes, and big data technologies. Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and a strong communicator with both independent and team-working skills. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services. Experience in a consulting environment.
