Job Responsibility: Vodafone _VOIS Tech is embarking on a global transformation of data & analytics to enable the _VOIS Data Ocean which will unlock value through machine learning and AI.
The Group Google Cloud implementation provides _VOIS with the capability to derive value from its data using complex analytics.
As the platform expands and data increases, it becomes increasingly important to ensure that _VOIS data is managed correctly, adhering to Vodafone and external data and security practices.
We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant to work with the Architecture,
Data Science, and Delivery teams to establish technical processes to manage the data on our platforms.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Implement data quality and metadata blueprint with data owners to improve data quality and metadata. Work with Data Engineering and Delivery teams to implement solutions. Ensure processes and procedures are in place to manage data. Understand data demands and issues. Work closely with the Corporate IT System team leading the GCP implementation to ensure full adherence to their principles, rules, and guidelines. Develop and deliver key predictive models, statistical models, and machine learning-based tools, supporting senior managers in the delivery of data science solutions for complex commercial requirements. What you bring:
Exposure to data lake or data warehouse implementation. Experience preferably with development and database skills as a foundation. Experience in engineering Data Pipelines and Semantic Data Layers. Degree or equivalent in a computer science or a scientific/technical discipline. High level of English. Must have technical / professional qualifications: Google Cloud Platform implementation of Big Data & Machine Learning services.
