.We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data solutions in alignment with Swift's business objectives. You will lead the design and definition of the technical standards and guidelines across data management and development, in addition to guiding the technical scope of work for the data engineering team.How You'll Make an ImpactLead the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.Design, develop and maintain structured and unstructured data anonymization services, in collaboration with the R&D team, needed for machine learning research and model monitoring reports, in a HIPAA compliant mannerDesign and implement robust data models and schema designs to support reporting, machine learning research and analytics requirements.Develop and optimize PowerBI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Mentor and provide technical guidance to other members of the data engineering team, ensuring the team follows best practices in data management and development.Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering and visualization.Plan, prioritize, and track data initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.Present technical concepts and project progress to non-technical stakeholders, translating complex ideas into actionable insights.What You Bring to Swift Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, ETL development, and data modeling with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within a technology-driven environment.Experience with PowerBI, Python and Azure Cloud.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and non-relational databases (e.G., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Deep understanding of agile methodologies and proven experience in implementing agile practices within a team.Strong technical foundation with the ability to tackle technical debt and push forward greenfield projects.Exceptional leadership qualities, including team building, conflict resolution, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Advanced problem-solving skills, with a track record of effectively identifying and unblocking issues that impede team progress.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to Swift's values and objectives
