We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to integrate our dynamic Claims Value Stream team within the Data and Business Intelligence (DBI) department.
This position requires an experienced professional who can not only design and sustain our large-scale data processing systems but also serve as a critical component in providing support for our existing applications in production.

Your expertise will directly contribute to improving data reliability, efficiency, and quality, driving the success of our team and the value we deliver to the business.Your roleAs a Data Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:Develop, construct, test, and maintain large-scale data processing systems.Implement complex, scalable, and robust data pipelines.Provide ongoing support for BAU applications.Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals.Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.Discover opportunities for data acquisition.Lead the development of data models and set the strategic vision for data utilization in the future.Your Skills and ExperienceAs a Data Engineer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.7+ years of overall technology experience, including hands-on software development, data engineering, and big data architectures.4+ years of experience with Data Lake, Data Warehousing, and Data Lakehouse.Proficiency in SQL; knowledge of DBT is a plus, as well as SQL optimization, performance tuning, and development experience in programming languages (Python, Scala, Spark).Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering, preferably AWS.Experience with running and scaling applications on cloud infrastructure and containerized services like Kubernetes.Experience with orchestrators, such as Airflow.Experience with version control tools such as GitHub and CI tools; knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus.Experience with agile methodologies and analytic tools is a plus.Experience mentoring junior roles.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.What we offer?As well as a competitive salary and a yearly bonus, we offer:Option to work remotely up to 100% of the time.300 euros net to set up your home office and additional monthly home office allowance.A wide range of internal and external trainings, including free English, German, and Spanish classes depending on the needs.Ticket restaurant or flexibility to exchange it for other benefits.
