Position Summary: The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data solutions that enable the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions. The engineer will create and optimize data integration, analysis, and visualization processes to support the company's BI needs. Technology used in the company is MicroStrategy and Power BI for visualization. PowerCenter and Python over Azure Cloud for data integrations and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities: Data Integration:
- Work closely with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to creation, maintenance, and improvement of local DWH (SQL Server, Oracle, and Synapse).
- Design (and develop if required) ETLs to be implemented in Store Procedure (Oracle and SQL Server), PowerCenter, Python or other tools for extracting and transforming data from various sources.
- ETL developing. Transact-SQL, PL/SQL, PowerCenter and/or Python.
- Manage data quality and consistency across systems.BI & Analytics Solution Design and Development:
- Contribute to creation, maintenance, and improvement of MicroStrategy and Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Design and develop robust data models that support the company's analytical needs.
- Provide support and training to end-users on the use of BI tools and solutions.
- Ensure the security and compliance of BI and analytics solutions.Others:
- Monitor the performance of BI solutions and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in BI and Big Data to recommend and implement new solutions.
- Azure Platform knowledge is also recommended.Requirements: Education: Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Language: Strong skills in Spanish and English to work and communicate with local and core teams. At least B2 is required.Experience:
- Previous 3-year experience in a similar role as a Data Engineer or BI Engineer.
- Experience with MicroStrategy and Power BI is recommended.
- Experience in developing and maintaining ETL processes (SQL is required. PowerCenter, Python or other ETL tool is also recommended).Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle and SQL Server).
- Ability to analyze, design and optimize data models (source, targets, and transformations).
- Development skills in SQL are required (Transact-SQL or PL/SQL recommended).
- Development skills in PowerCenter or Python are also recommended.Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Benefits:
