Hej there! For our digital team in Madrid, we are looking for a Data Engineer to help us accelerate our work of building state-of-the-art data products that enable us to transform IKEA into a truly data-driven company.

What you will be doing day to day:
As a Data Engineer, you fulfill a pivotal role in the design, development, and operation of ready-to-use data products. You will be part of the full product development process in the product team, from understanding the problem, through designing the solution by quick prototyping, then delivering and running our product in production.
You will be a part of the Data & ML B2B team, which objective is to create a better IKEA for the many businesses. We work globally to give support to 30 markets in understanding better what are the needs of the B2B customers with a data-driven approach. Then, we build digital solutions to solve those needs to make sure that IKEA is the best partner for all of them, across industry segments and countries.

You are excited about Data and understand the crucial importance of state-of-the-art Data Products to enable Insights, AI, and ML capabilities, and working in cross-functional, autonomous, DevOps-minded product teams with a global reach and stakeholders from across the world. You want to be part of shaping the future of data at IKEA - to dream big, build small, and think smartly! You have a passion for data and are not afraid to learn and take new challenges (even if they are not fully in the job description!).

Previous experience as a Data Engineer and Cloud Backend Engineer.Knowledge of designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines.Practical experience in data modeling, using all types of data modeling techniques.Knowledge of cloud-based services, in particular Google Cloud platform as well as tools such as dbt, Dataform, Terraform.Knowledge of programming languages (particularly Python and SQL), including concepts from functional and object-oriented programming paradigms.A curious, world-class problem solver who wants to keep learning!This is our wish list!
