Data Engineer - Aviles (Spain)

OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE OF THE COMPANY Our client, a world's leading steel and mining company, is looking for a data engineer profile to join the R&D department of the group and more specifically the team in charge of the digital platform.

MISSIONS As a Data Engineer, you will implement solutions for processing and prepare large amounts of data for data scientists within projects for any domain. You will be involved in the following activities:

Work closely with data scientists to set up collection, preparation and provision of data. Implement and optimize all pipelines to automate the processes. Ensure stability and security of systems. ACADEMIC SPHERE You hold a Master/Engineer degree with a strong technical background in computer science domain with at least 3 years of proven experience as a data engineer preferably in the industrial domain.

TECHNICAL SPHERE Programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python (top priority), Java, Scala or SQL. Good experience using big data technologies such as Spark, Flink and NoSQL databases. Good knowledge of cloud technologies: Azure (top priority) but AWS or GCP is acceptable. Proven experience or knowledge with Azure Databricks is a real plus. High proficiency in English; Spanish is welcome but not mandatory, nevertheless with a desire to learn it to socialize.
