AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Key job responsibilitiesYou will interact with stakeholders in Spain and across EMEA, so both Spanish and English language proficiency is essential.Working to meet SLA's against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.Being first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.Performing regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, etc.).Carrying out routine network, server hardware and OS related repairs.Working with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work.Engaging with Smart Hands in EU Regional POPs.Adhering to security and safety best practices in the data center.Participating in Data Center power & cooling events.Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement.Identifying and helping create documentation for use globally.Identifying and helping create process improvements relevant to the data center environment.Performing server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as required.Interacting with third party vendors & contractors.Contributing to the development of other team members.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSHigh school or equivalent diploma.Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.Experience in networking.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
